By using our website or booking a service with CityLux Ltd, you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them carefully.


1. Who We Are

CityLux Ltd is a booking platform connecting clients with self-employed massage therapists.

2. Nature of Services

CityLux acts solely as a booking agent. The massage therapists who perform treatments are independent, self-employed professionals. Your contract for treatment is with the therapist, not with CityLux.


We screen therapists (e.g. interviews, qualifications, insurance checks) but cannot guarantee all details or assume liability for individual therapist conduct. Use of any therapist is at your own risk, and we recommend exercising reasonable caution.


3. Booking & Payment


  1. Confirmation: A booking is confirmed only once we send you a formal booking confirmation via email, text, or WhatsApp.
  2. Pricing: Prices are listed on our website and app. Late-night surcharges and out-of-zone travel fees may apply.
  3. Payment Methods: Payment can be made online, by phone, or directly to the therapist (cash or card). By booking, you agree to provide accurate billing and payment information.


4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  1. More than 2 hours before appointment: Full refund
  2. Less than 2 hours before appointment: 50% cancellation fee
  3. Less than 30–45 minutes or no-show: No refund; 100% of service cost charged
  4. Delayed client arrival: Therapists will wait up to 10 minutes. Please call if delayed.


CityLux reserves the right to cancel bookings without notice in exceptional circumstances.


5. Rescheduling Policy

  1. More than 1 hour notice: No charge if rescheduled
  2. Less than 45 minutes: Treated as cancellation unless your therapist agrees to the new time


6. Therapist Exclusivity

You agree not to book CityLux therapists privately or outside the platform during your use of CityLux and for 6 months after your last booking. Doing so is a violation of our non-circumvention terms.


7. Client Conduct & Therapist Safety

Clients must:

  1. Provide a safe, clean, and respectful environment
  2. Refrain from inappropriate or threatening behaviour


Therapists may end a session immediately if they feel unsafe or uncomfortable. No refunds will be issued in such cases. Report can be filed with local authorities for any misconduct.


8. Health & Safety

Clients must inform us and the therapist of:

  1. Any medical conditions or allergies
  2. Injuries or recent surgeries


Therapists may decline to perform services they feel are unsafe for you.


Massage for Minors (Under 18s) – Safeguarding Policy


CityLux occasionally provides massage treatments for clients under 18 only when part of an existing client household and when arranged by a parent or legal guardian.


To ensure the safety, dignity and wellbeing of young clients, the following rules apply without exception:

  1. A parent or legal guardian must be physically present in the room for the full duration of the treatment.
  2. Consent must be given verbally by the parent or legal guardian before the session begins.
  3. Treatments for minors are limited to appropriate relaxation-style techniques only.
  4. No deep tissue, sports therapy, stretching, chest, glute or inner thigh work is permitted.
  5. The therapist must not be left alone with a minor at any time.
  6. If the responsible adult leaves the room, the therapist will pause the treatment until they return.
  7. Session times for minors may be reduced based on comfort and suitability at the therapist’s discretion.
  8. Any inappropriate or unsafe behaviour will result in the treatment being stopped immediately, with payment still due in full.
  9. If a therapist has concerns regarding safeguarding, they may refuse or discontinue treatment and report the matter to CityLux management.


If these conditions are not met or are challenged, the therapist must not continue the treatment.


CityLux maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any actions that compromise child safety or therapist wellbeing.


9. Use of Website

  1. The CityLux website is offered “as is” and may change at any time.
  2. You must not misuse the site (e.g. viruses, scraping, false bookings).
  3. Intellectual property (content, logos, design) belongs to CityLux or its licensors and may not be reused without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

CityLux is not liable for:

  1. Any injury, loss, or dissatisfaction arising from a treatment (therapists are independent)
  2. Indirect losses (e.g. missed meetings, lost income)
  3. Any third-party website or service linked from our platform

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (e.g. death by negligence).


11. Data Protection

We comply with the UK GDPR. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.


12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. By continuing to use our services or site, you agree to the current version.


13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
